It started in 2022 with a $200 controller and house parties at the University of Kansas. By senior year that had turned into residencies at The Hawk and The Bull in Lawrence and a lot of nights behind the decks.
A semester in Barcelona changed the sound. Four months of hearing deep, groove-led house in clubs like Opium, Input, Shoko and Pacha pulled LAFTR toward deep house and tech house.
Now based in Chicago, LAFTR has played Bottom Lounge, Joy District and Rocbar, and has also played Orlando and Tucson.
